Travel Directions

BY CAR

From the South, the quickest route to drive is to take the A9 to Inverness, then continue on the A9 for 5 miles or so passed Inverness to the Tore roundabout, where you take the A835 towards Ullapool for around 15 miles to Garve. Just passed Garve

Take the left turn (signposted Kyle of Lochalsh A832/A890/A896) and Lochcarron is well sign posted after this turning.

It is also possible to drive between Lochcarron and The South via Glen Coe and Fort William, this route is even more scenic but it does take longer.

BY TRAIN

There is a railway station at Strathcarron (3 miles away) and train times can be checked at www.scotrail.co.uk.

This line runs from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and passes through some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe.

The nearest airport is Inverness Airport, approx 7 miles East of the centre of Inverness. Car hire is available here.
